What 3 steps do I
take to get licensed?
1) You must have at least 4 years of experience
in your trade.
2) You must pass two License Board exams:
one in construction law and one in your trade.
3) You must promise to supervise the work and the accounting of your company once it obtains its license. |

"I am a visual learner so the tapes and the lectures were extremely helpful. Thanks!" O. Coello,
General Builder, Santa Rosa.

How does CLC fit in?
CLC prepares your application to the
CSLB. We take care of the "red-tape" for you.
CLC offers a wide
variety of materials to help you pass your exams:
law & trade manuals written in plain English, DVD and CD lectures by lawyers and contractors,
and up-to-date practice exams.
CLC
gives you more than any other school. We give you an education!
Many contractors lose
thousands of dollars, or even fail, because they were not familiar with basic
laws and business principles. Our courses are not only about passing the License
Board’s exams. We go
beyond the state exams with instruction in business management, construction law,
and your trade
to
show you how to protect yourself, and otherwise teach you how to succeed in your
business.
You
will receive individual attention by a professional, full-time
staff as well as
experienced contractors and researchers on call to answer your law and trade
questions.

We invite you to attend one of
our live law lectures any Monday evening from
7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Click
here for our lecture schedule. You are also
welcome to drop by the school and inspect our
materials during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We
look forward to meeting you and helping you toward your goal of becoming a
licensed contractor!
Sincerely,
Timothy J.
Hannan, Director
